The Chubby Chickpea started as a Brick & Mortar location in Canton, MA in June 2010. There our team, and our founder and Chef Avi Shemtov, created a brand based on fun and exciting takes on classic Israeli comfort food.
In 2012 the team launched its first mobile Food Truck on the streets of downtown Boston, becoming Boston's 14th food truck.
Now our fleet has 3 trucks and handles up to 25 events each week. Indoor events, outdoor events, food truck events, corporate cafe takeovers; The Chubby Chickpea does it all.
Founded in 2010, The Chubby Chickpea aims to be at the cutting edge of Middle Eastern Cuisine, fusing traditional favorites and authentic recipes with fresh local ingredients and contemporary styles. Our kitchen features flat top grills, oven space, full refrigeration and running water as well as 3 deep fryers- everything you would need for a successful event without messing up your home or facility! Formerly voted the 'Best truck in Boston', our truck has received notoriety in a variety of publications, television appearances and radio spots.
